Global Road Sealing, Inc. is a proud, family-owned business rooted in perseverance, ingenuity, and the pursuit of the American dream.

In 1984, the La family arrived in the United States as boat people, determined to build a new life from the ground up. The family patriarch, Mr. Cezar La, worked tirelessly as a mechanic. Among his many jobs, he regularly repaired a crack seal truck for a local gentleman. One day, that gentleman decided he no longer wanted the vehicle and offered it to Mr. La as payment. Most would have seen an old truck; Mr. La saw possibility. He repaired the machine and opened the door to a new chapter. In 1998, together with his two sons, Tri and Steve, the family formally entered the crack sealing business and incorporated Global Road Sealing, Inc. the following year.

From the start, each family member played a vital role:

• Tri La – President, leading operations and estimating projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Steve La – Vice President, supporting project management and day-to-day operations.
• Mr. Cezar La – Treasurer, applying his background in mechanical engineering to design, build, and continuously improve the company’s equipment.
• Mrs. Louise La – Co-founder and financial cornerstone, whose relationships and persistence secured the crucial loans and funding to launch the business, and later enabled the purchase of the company’s first yard in 2005 in Stanton, California—a turning point that gave the team a permanent base of operations and room to grow.

As Tri and Steve operated the machines in the field, they provided constant feedback to their father. Mr. La translated that feedback into practical innovations—designing, building, and modifying equipment to make it safer, more reliable, and more efficient. Meanwhile, Mrs. Louise La’s diligence on the financial front ensured the company had the capital and credibility to take on bigger opportunities.

At the beginning, resources were modest: one truck, one hotmelt kettle, and a team of five (the three founders plus two helpers). Their first project sealed the parking lot of a car dealership at Trask Avenue and Westminster Boulevard in Westminster, California—humble work that laid a strong foundation.

• 1998–2004: Building a Foundation
  Focused on crack sealing across Southern California, the team refined methods and machinery through a tight loop of field feedback and in-house engineering.
• 2004: Expanding into Traffic Signal Loops
  The company ventured into traffic signal loop installations. The first job—four loops on Harbor Boulevard by Banner Street in Garden Grove—took a full day, but it marked the start of electrical capabilities.
• 2005: First Yard, First Leap
  Through the efforts and connections of Mrs. Louise La, the company secured financing to purchase its first yard in Stanton, California. This strategic investment centralized materials, equipment, and maintenance—accelerating growth, efficiency, and responsiveness to clients.
• 2007: Introducing Joint Sealing
  The team added joint sealing services. On the I-10 freeway, that first shift completed just 500 feet—small steps that led to major strides.
• 2017: Full-Scale Electrical Projects
  After a decade mastering smaller electrical scopes, Global Road Sealing took on complete electrical contracting. The first full project in Twenty-Nine Palms included installing poles, cabinets, luminaires, and traffic signals—cementing the company’s versatility.

What began with a single truck and a dream has grown into a company with over 30 trucks, more than 30 employees, and projects throughout California. Along the way, the La family was fortunate to recruit loyal, skilled team members who share the same commitment to craftsmanship and accountability.

At 75 years old, Mr. Cezar La still upgrades equipment and maintains the fleet. Mrs. Louise La’s early financial leadership continues to echo in the company’s stability and capacity to invest for the long term. Tri and Steve lead the next chapter—guided by family values, innovation, and a relentless work ethic.
